Apply patterns to your Manga illustrations the traditional way with the adhesive screentones in this Beginners Tone Kit!
These tones are great for artists who want to try the original process of adding designs by hand to their drawings with this artful action now more commonly done digitally. Simply cut out whatever size you need, slightly bigger than the area on your drawing that you want the pattern. Lightly press it onto the paper and trace around the design with a cutting knife. Remove the excess areas of the pattern and use the tone hera tool to firmly press down the remaining pattern onto your drawing. You can also then use your knife to partially scrape away some of the tone to create accents and gradation.
Beginners Tone Kit A includes:
-3 Jr. Screentone patterned paper packs (JR-102 30% dot, JR-101 20% fine dot, and JR-93 5% extra fine dot)
-A "tone hera" tool for pressing the tones evenly onto the paper
-Sample line drawings for practice
("Jr." screentones are a smaller size than the regular tone packs, with sheets measuring 6.5" x 9".)
