This special limited-edition collaborated set includes 24 Holbein Artists' Watercolors with packaging art by Japanese artist Yuko Higuchi.
An artist and illustrator based in Tokyo, Yuko Higuchi is famous for her paintings and drawings of whimsical worlds that include character cats combined with surreal elements. Her art is beautifully featured on the outside and inside of the packaging for this set, as well as on each individual tube of paint.
Inside the cardboard box packaging are 24 watercolor tubes measuring 2 1/2" long and each containing 5 ml (.17 fl oz) of paint. Colors included are Opera, Brilliant Pink, Cadmium Red Purple, Cadmium Red Deep, Permanent Yellow Orange, Permanent Yellow Light, Jaune Brillant #1, Olive Green, Permanent Green #1, Hooker’s Green, Emerald Green, Sap Green, Turquoise Blue, Peacock Blue, Horizon Blue, Royal Blue, Indigo, Lavender, Permanent Violet, Lilac, Yellow Ochre, Yellow Gray, Amber, and Davy’s Gray.
Originating in the early 1920’s, Holbein Artist Watercolors have always held high standards in paint and pigment quality. The highly-concentrated colors are each designed to be easily re-wet and long-lasting in the tube, on a palette, or for creating a solid pan. Use them to create powerfully dark color and/or more subtle-yet-brilliant transparent washes. Creamy texture gives excellent brush control.
