These high-quality acrylic Setacolor bottled paints from Pebeo can be used for restoring or decorating genuine leather and faux leather surfaces such as shoes, purses and handbags, belts, journal covers, furniture pieces and more!
Opaque water-based colors are ultra-resistant to scratches and rubbing. Colors can be mixed to create custom shades and can be applied with either a paintbrush or an airbrush. (Except for the highly-glittery silver which is for use with regular brushes only.)
For best adhesion, it's recommended that the leather be cleaned/degreased first with Pebeo's preparer/deglazer solution. If painting multiple layers, allow the first to dry for at least 15 minutes.
Depending on the type of leather, the colors will have a more or less matt-satin finish. This can be altered by using Pebeo's topcoat varnishes, available with either a matt or a gloss finish. This step will also help protect and seal the color for long-lasting results.
