Roxanne Glaser is a graphic designer, hand-lettering artist, and lifelong doodler who believes making art should be simple, joyful, and a little bit messy.
She’s been doodling since elementary school, filling pages with imaginative swirls, patterns, and letters. Today, as SuperDoodleGirl, she helps people get unstuck and reconnect with their creativity through art journaling, lettering, doodling, and simple creative practices.
This Doodle Kit is a collection of Roxanne’s favorite supplies—the tools she reaches for again and again in her own creative practice and classes. Whether you’re new to doodling or already have a sketchbook full of ideas, these are the supplies she recommends for making marks, experimenting, and finding your own creative rhythm.
Make stuff. Be kind. Find your tribe. ❤️
This set will allow you to try several markers and pens to see what brings you joy! Once you find what you like, you can expand your supplies with additional colors or full sets of your favorites.
See the following list for more details on the contents of the Doodle Basics Kit. All of these will work great on the Canson XL Mixed Media Rough pad!
Sakura Gelly Rolls
The original gel ink in these classic pens is creamy smooth, opaque and waterproof for bold, long-lasting lines.

Sakura IDenti-pen
Great for writing on any surface and is waterproof! The bonus on this pen is that it is a two-in-one with a 1.0 mm bullet tip on one end and a .4 mm fineliner on the other. Definitely a winner for a travel supply kit.

Uni-Ball Signo Gel, UM 153
Currently, this is one of the most consistent white gel pens available. It’s bold line is great as the final touch to a vibrant doodle piece to provide the contrast. Try this on TOP of other colors for a POP!
(Click here to see additional colors of the Signo gel pens!)
Tombow Fudenosuke, dual tip black and gray
This is the doodler’s secret weapon for adding shadows and energetic lines. It has a flexible tip and you can easily add thick and thin lines with a small amount of pressure.
(Click here to see additional versions of the Fudenosuke pens!)
Viarco ArtGraf Water-Soluble Graphite Pencils
Use these 5mm tip pencils alone for dry drawing techniques, or try blending out with water for unique monochromatic effects.
(Click here to view the ArtGraf pencil page!)
Uni Posca PC-1M Paint Marker
The .7mm extra fine plastic point on these acrylic paint pens can be used for detailed doodling on almost any surface.
(Click here to view the full color range of the Posca 1M!)
Pentel Sparkle Pop Pens
These gel pens contain two colors of glitter and color-shift in the light and look different on dark and light backgrounds. That means your doodling and travel journals will have an interesting level of detail that you can’t get with other gel pens. Also, try out the Sparkle Pop brush markers!
(Click here to see additional colors and sets of the Sparkle Pop pens!)
Tombow Dual Brush Pens
These are water-based dye ink makers that can be blended with water for watercolor doodles. One end is a large, flexible fiber brush tip and the other is a small bullet tip for details. The red, yellow, and blue in this kit blend beautifully to create orange, green, and purple for the full range of colors!

Fun selection
Bought two of these for my daughter and I to take the Doodle Lettering class. The kit has a really fun variety of pens and markers, we're enjoying them outside of the lettering class too!
